40% Zirconia Alumina, a high-performance abrasive, is widely used in coated abrasives for demanding applications requiring superior toughness and extended durability. This material combines zirconia and alumina, offering excellent abrasion resistance and reducing wear on tools, ensuring consistent performance throughout the application.

Product Description

It is the Fused Alumina-Zirconia type of eutectic composition produced by melting alumina and Zirconia at about 2000C temperature in an electric arc furnace followed by cooling of the motion product.

The very fine and homogenous microstructure of this materials provides high toughness but also excellent self sharpening properties. With 40% zirconia, this product promises lasting durability for coated and bonded abrasives.

 

Applications in Coated Abrasives

 

Sanding Belts (P60, P80 grit): Perfect for heavy-duty grinding and polishing, used in electric or pneumatic tools.

 

Flap Discs and Flap Wheels (P40, P50 grit): Ideal for edge grinding and surface preparation with extended durability.

 

High-Grade Sandpaper (P50-P150 grit): Used for fine surface finishing, paint removal, and polishing.
