Chemical Composition

At DOMILL, we ensure that the chemical composition of our abrasive grains meets the highest industry standards, guaranteeing exceptional performance in abrasive tools, refractory materials, and sandblasting applications. The purity and consistency of the raw materials used in manufacturing our abrasive grains directly influence their hardness, abrasive efficiency, and durability.

1. Aluminum Oxide (Al₂O₃)
The primary component of our abrasive grains is aluminum oxide (Al₂O₃), a highly durable and chemically stable compound. This provides the grains with their excellent hardness and abrasive properties, making them ideal for grinding and cutting applications. Our grains typically contain 98-99% aluminum oxide, ensuring superior performance and longevity.

2. Iron Oxide (Fe₂O₃)
The content of iron oxide (Fe₂O₃) is carefully controlled to minimize impurities that can impact the performance of abrasive products. We ensure that our abrasive grains contain ≤0.3% iron oxide, reducing any potential for rusting or magnetic interference, especially in industries where high purity is critical.

3. Silicon Dioxide (SiO₂)
Silicon dioxide (SiO₂) is another essential component that influences the abrasive properties of the grain. At DOMILL, we maintain the SiO₂ content at ≤0.5%, ensuring that the grain retains its hardness and can be used effectively in both abrasive tools and refractory applications without compromising its performance.

4. Titanium Dioxide (TiO₂)
Titanium dioxide (TiO₂) is a minor but important component that can impact the color and density of abrasive grains. Our grains typically contain ≤0.3% TiO₂, contributing to the overall purity and strength of the product.

X-Ray Fluorescence

DOMILL equipped with a X-Ray Fluorescence which have the Special x-ray tube and optics to provide high sensitivity for light to heavy elements.

It can detect all elements and contents from sodium (Na) to uranium (U); detect solid, liquid, powder samples without complex sample preparation process; analysis measurement dynamic range from 10-6-100%; analysis time is short, only tens of seconds to a few minutes

Our trained technicians use multifunctional melting machine to have the prepared samples, analysis them in X-Ray Fluorescence, and get the results to help inner control or customer’s research needs.
