Zirconia alumina is an abrasive made by mixing alumina and zirconia. It is produced using bauxite (or alumina powder), zircon sand, anthracite, and iron filings as raw materials, which are smelted at high temperatures in an electric arc furnace. The molten material is then rapidly cooled, crushed, and granulated.
This abrasive is grayish-white in color, with high toughness, strength, and excellent wear resistance.
