Zirconia Alumina

Zirconia Alumina is a premium, high-performance abrasive material made by fusing aluminum oxide (Al₂O₃) and zirconium oxide (ZrO₂) at high temperatures in an electric arc furnace. This fusion process creates a tough, durable, and self-sharpening abrasive grain with superior cutting efficiency, making it ideal for demanding grinding and finishing applications.

This abrasive is grayish-white in color, with high toughness, strength, and excellent wear resistance.

Main Applications of Zirconia Alumina

1. Bonded & Coated Abrasives

Used in grinding wheels, cutting discs, and flap discs for heavy-duty grinding and finishing.

Ideal for stainless steel, alloy steel, and high-strength metals.

2. Sandblasting & Surface Preparation

Excellent for metal cleaning, deburring, and surface texturing.

Provides high-impact strength and consistent performance.

3. Refractory Application

Used in high-temperature-resistant refractory bricks for furnaces and kilns.

Offers enhanced thermal shock resistance.

4. Polishing & Finishing

Applied in ceramic and glass polishing for superior surface smoothness.

Suitable for woodworking and automotive finishing.
